The Cherry Springs Dark Sky Fund/Association is a “Friends” group under the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation. Our mission is the protection of the dark night sky at Cherry Springs State Park and enhancing the astronomy experience through facility improvement and educational outreach programs. The PA Parks and Forests Foundation (PPFF) is a 501 (c) 3 tax exempt group and your donations to the Dark Sky fund are tax deductible.
Gold Level Designation (2008) – The International Dark Sky Association (IDA) has designated Cherry Springs State Park as a Gold Level Dark Sky Park. Help to support night sky preservation by becoming an IDA member today.
